- Dr. Kelli Sapp, Associate Professor of Biology and Chair of the Biology Department, was the 2007 recipient of the Meredith Clark Slane Distinguished Teacher-Service Award. Click here for details of the award and other 2007 commencement highlights.

- Biology Club Spring Trip
- The Biology Club will be traveling to Atlanta, GA for their annual spring trip. They will be visiting the Georgia Aquarium, the worlds largest aquarium. Students will also be spending time at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum and touring the World of COCA-COLA.
- 14 Feb. 2007 Biology Club Fundraiser
- On the 14th of February the Biology Club began a two month fundraiser with a Valentine’s Day Bake Sale. The students are raising money to be donated to Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres), specifically their Malarial Control Program. Students will be conducting a variety of fundraisers over the next two months on campus and in the community to raise money for this worthy cause.

- December 8 2006 - Congdon-Haworth Hall of Sciences Christmas Party
- Everyone is welcome to attend the annual Christmas gathering sponsored by the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, and Math and Computer Sciences. If you would like to bring some goodies, a sign-up sheet is on Dr. Sapp's office door (249).
